A spasso nell’arte (Lap-ideo 2021)

 

È calato il sipario su Lap-ideo 2021, ma non si è certo spenta la fiamma che rischiara, con la sua forza e viva luce, il luogo incantato dove ogni anno, con regolarità e sequenza ritmica, si danno appuntamento artisti e creativi provenienti da ogni parte d’Italia e del mondo. Un posto senza tempo dove le opere  sfidano lo scorrere inesorabile delle stagioni. Arte come fatto intimo, esigenza dell’anima, desiderio di condivisione,  caratteristiche che si riscontrano in ciascuno degli artisti presenti e che vengono trasmessi a chiunque nutra il desiderio di aprirsi a questa particolare esperienza di sincretismo culturale.

Anche l’ottava edizione della rassegna ha visto sfilare in passerella tante menti creative, ognuna delle quali ha aggiunto valore all’enorme patrimonio artistico già presente in ogni angolo della tenuta gestita, con ineguagliabile grazia da Loredana, Roi e Manuela.

Loredana, Roi e Manuela, come  vertici di un triangolo equilatero, necessari e complementari tra loro, svolgono un ruolo fondamentale alla buona riuscita della manifestazione. Loredana, regina indiscussa di stile ed eleganza, è l’anima di Lap-ideo, con lei, maestra di eloquenza, le opere d’arte prendono vita e rinascono nelle sue attente e puntuali descrizioni. 

Roi, guru del food&beverage, i fornelli come suoi alleati e la cucina quale  tempio sacro  dove, rispetto per la natura e materie prime del territorio, trovano la loro compiuta espressione. 

Manuela, la figlia, si divide con  indicibile leggiadria, tra il ruolo di mamma della piccola Matilde e l’organizzazione di Lap-ideo e degli eventi che vi fanno da cornice. Si occupa anche di grafica, è sua la locandina della manifestazione, che, anche per quest’anno, è ispirata al tema dei miti e leggende. 

 Ogni cimelio, oggetto, impronta umana, viene custodito e conservato con estrema cura e attenzione. Il museo dell’arte,  come un teatro di marionette, si libera dalla coltre di polvere accumulata durante la pausa invernale, e si rianima sotto lo sguardo curioso dei visitatori ed estimatori del feudo incantato,  riannodando i fili di un dialogo interculturale che si rinnova ogni  anno. 

Gianni Andolina, moderno re Mida, possiede i segreti dell’arte scultorea e se ne fa prezioso interprete. Quest’anno il talentuoso artista ha installato una prima colonna, dedicata al mito di Alfeo e Aretusa, una pietra miliare, con il proposito di creare un tempio dedicato al culto dell'arte e della bellezza, un messaggio per le generazioni future, con l'auspicio che si facciano portatrici dell'eredità che verrà loro consegnata.

Le oniriche e surreali creazioni in terracotta, realizzate con l'antica tecnica orientale del raku,  di Alison Shanks, dall’alto valore simbolico, rappresentano una denuncia sociale dei mali che affliggono il nostro tempo, l'arte vissuta come atto morale e impegno politico.

Il filo di Arianna, di Orazio Onorifico, un percorso di sassi colorati, che come pietre d’inciampo,  ci riportano alle origini della vita e alla sua sorgente, ricordandoci che solo attraverso il senso di comunità si può cogliere l’essenza dell’uomo che ritrova se stesso superando i confini dello smarrimento esistenziale. 

Leda e il cigno, di Fulvia Morganti, mito che simboleggia l'inganno, la potenza sessuale maschile, l'amplesso amoroso e l'incerto limite tra Eros e Thanatos.

Sul sagrato della piccola chiesa, ad attendere il pubblico,  il dipinto di Corrado Roccaro, dedicato al tragico mito di Agave, un racconto ispirato all'aspetto ambivalente e malvagio della natura, una  terra generosa e matrigna allo stesso tempo che crea e  distrugge, come Agave che, inconsapevolmente, sbrana la propria creatura.

E poi ancora, sulla parete esterna della torre panoramica, quella che guarda verso il  mare, spiccano le geometrie arabe di Raafia Jessa, una preghiera laica dedicata ad una donna,  chiamata amorevolmente dall'artista, Nonna Angelina.  Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un "In verità apparteniamo a Dio e in verità a Lui ritorniamo”,  il titolo dell'opera.

Laura Sicilia, attraverso i suoi pennelli, ci racconta la storia  di Dina e Clarenza, una leggenda di casa nostra che si consuma a Messina. Nell'Agosto del 1282, nel pieno del Vespro  che vede lo scontro tra siciliani, sostenuti dagli Aragonesi e gli Angioini,  Dina e Clarenza si accorgono che le truppe angioine stanno tentando una sortita notturna, ma il  piano fallisce grazie alla presenza delle due donne-sentinelle che prontamente svegliano  gli abitanti della  città  mettendo in fuga le truppe francesi.

Bruno Castobello si rifà al mito della luna per la sua opera "Mineral Moon" arricchendola di significato  con una originale ricerca di filastrocche siciliane legate all'astro d'argento.

Dalle arti figurative alla settima arte   con il cortometraggio di Pino Parisi dedicato alla leggenda della Pillirina. Una storia d'amore tra una giovane e benestante fanciulla e un pescatore, un amore impossibile finito in tragedia.

Sullo sfondo della suggestiva cava di pietra, come palcoscenico improvvisato, l' emozione ha toccato il culmine  con la performance teatrale dell'attore Franco Bonfanti che ci ha regalato uno struggente monologo tratto dall'opera "Le ultime lune" di Furio Bordon. 

Il quadro si conclude con il  docufilm "Anni vinti" di Andrea Giannone sul biennio rosso nella Sicilia sud-orientale, attraverso un'attenta ricostruzione degli anni in cui la massa dei contadini versava in condizioni di estrema miseria, tra lotte sindacali e ascesa del partito fascista.

Ma in questa colorata e ricca kermesse non poteva mancare un angolo dedicato ai più piccoli che sono stati intrattenuti dalle letture di favole e leggende su "Eroi, mostri, divinità", progetto proposto e curato dal gruppo formato da Paola Cappè, Rossana Geraci e Lucia Basile, un modo per diffondere l'amore per la lettura sin dalla tenera età.

The curtain has fallen on Lap-ideo 2021, but the flame that illuminates, with its strength and vivid light, the enchanted place where every year, with regularity and rhythmic sequence, artists and creatives from every part of Italy and the world. A timeless place where works challenge the inexorable flow of the seasons. Art as an intimate fact, need of the soul, desire for sharing, these are the characteristics that are found in each of the artists present and that are transmitted to anyone who has the desire to open up to this particular experience of cultural syncretism.

The eighth edition of the exhibition also saw a parade of artists, each of whom added value to the enormous artistic heritage already present in every corner of the managed estate, with unparalleled grace from Loredana, Roi and Manuela.

Loredana, Roi and Manuela, as vertices of an equilateral triangle, necessary and complementary to each other, play a fundamental role in the success of the event. Loredana, undisputed queen of style and elegance, is the soul of Lap-ideo, with her, a teacher of eloquence, the works of art come to life and are reborn in the careful and precise descriptions of her.

Roi, guru of food & beverage, the stoves as his allies and the kitchen as a sacred temple where, respect for nature and raw materials of the territory, find their complete expression.

Manuela, her daughter, divides herself with unspeakable grace, between the role of mother of little Matilde and the organization of Lap-ideo and the events that surround it. She also deals with graphics, she is the poster of the event, which, also for this year, is inspired by the theme of myths and legends.

 Every heirloom, object, human footprint is guarded and preserved with extreme care and attention. The art museum, like a puppet theater, frees itself from the blanket of dust accumulated during the winter break, and revives thanks to the curious gaze of visitors and admirers of the enchanted fiefdom, re-tying the threads of an intercultural dialogue that is renewed every year .

Gianni Andolina, modern king Midas, possesses the secrets of sculptural art and becomes a precious interpreter of them. This year the talented artist installed a first column, dedicated to the myth of Alfeo and Arethusa, a milestone, with the purpose of creating a temple dedicated to the cult of art and beauty, a message for future generations, with the hope that they will become bearers of the inheritance that will be delivered to them.

The dreamlike and surreal terracotta creations, made with the ancient oriental technique of raku, by Alison Shanks, with a high symbolic value, represent a social denunciation of the evils that afflict our time, art lived as a moral act and political commitment .

Arianna's thread, by Orazio Onorifico, a path of colored stones, which like stumbling blocks, take us back to the origins of life and its source, reminding us that only through the sense of community can we grasp the essence of man who finds himself overcoming the boundaries of existential bewilderment.

Leda and the Swan, by Fulvia Morganti, a myth that symbolizes deception, male sexual power, amorous intercourse and the uncertain boundary between Eros and Thanatos.

In the churchyard of the small church, waiting for the public, the painting by Corrado Roccaro, dedicated to the tragic myth of Agave, a story inspired by the ambivalent and evil aspect of nature, a sweet land and stepmother at the same time that creates and destroys, as Agave who, with her slander, tears her own creature to pieces.

And then again, on the external wall of the panoramic tower, the one that looks towards the sea, the Arab geometries of Raafia Jessa stand out, a lay prayer dedicated to a woman, lovingly called by the artist, Nonna Angelina. Inna Lillahi wa inna ilayhi raji'un "In truth we belong to God and in truth we return to Him", the title of the work.

Laura Sicilia, through her brushes, tells us the story of Dina and Clarenza, a legend of our home that is consumed in Messina. In August 1282, at the height of the Vespers which sees the clash between Sicilians, supported by the Aragonese and the Angevins, Dina and Clarenza realize that the Angevin troops are attempting a night sortie, but the plan fails thanks to the presence of the two women- sentries who promptly wake the inhabitants of the city putting French troops to flight.Bruno Castobello refers to the myth of the moon for his work "Mineral Moon" enriching it with meaning with an original research of Sicilian nursery rhymes linked to the silver star.

From the figurative arts to the seventh art with the short film by Pino Parisi dedicated to the legend of the Pillirina. A love story between a young and wealthy girl and a fisherman, an impossible love that ended in tragedy.

Against the background of the suggestive stone quarry, as an improvised stage, the emotion reached its climax with the theatrical performance of the actor Franco Bonfanti who gave us a poignant monologue taken from the opera "The last moons" by Furio Bordon.

The picture ends with the docufilm "Anni vinti" by Andrea Giannone on the two-year red period in south-eastern Sicily, through a careful reconstruction of the years in which the mass of peasants lived in conditions of extreme poverty, between trade union struggles and the rise of the party fascist.

But in this colorful and rich event, a corner dedicated to the little ones could not be missing who were entertained by the readings of fables and legends on "Heroes, monsters, divinities", a project proposed and curated by the group formed by Paola Cappè, Rossana Geraci and Lucia Basile, a way to spread the love of reading from an early age.
